Hello, my name is Mica Rica Jines. I am happy to say I have finally crawled out of my comfort zone in Child Development and have decided to continue on with my major in Graphic Designing. I started college fresh out of high school back in 1997 through 2001 majoring in Liberal Arts. I became pregnant the same year and have decided to set aside my education to become a full time mom. I was also in the middle of deciding whether I wanted to become an Elementary Teacher or a Graphic Artist. And so I chose the path to work in the Child Development field. I worked for a Child Development Center and later on opened my own in-home daycare aboard Marine Corp Base Camp Pendleton. I have had the opportunity to be able to raise my children and work from home. The longer I worked as a child care provider, the more I wanted to complete my education. I felt it was time for me to pursue and finish my degree in Graphic Designing. As much as I loved working with children, graphic designing has always been my true passion. I love art, graphic arts in general. Although I feel a little bit intimidated by all the "new" and "fast" technology, I hope to keep up! I'm blessed to have a wonderful supportive husband and two beautiful children that keep me on my toes daily. I look forward to learning, sharing thoughts, and ideas from my instructor and peers.
